This 50 m² apartment in the heart of Malcesine was designed to create a calm, refined living space where aesthetics and function go hand in hand.
Inspired by the timeless elegance of Italian interiors and the soft, sunlit tones of Lake Garda, the design is bright, warm, and subtly grounded in Nordic minimalism. The result is a space that feels effortless — open, welcoming, and thoughtfully composed.
To comfortably host four guests, spatial efficiency became the guiding principle. Every piece was custom designed and handcrafted in collaboration with a local carpenter, ensuring both precision and character. Artworks by the designer add a personal note, giving the apartment its own quiet identity.
A centerpiece of the design is the custom-built sofa — a prototype developed specifically for compact living — which transforms from a lounge to a dining bench with an adjustable backrest, adapting seamlessly to daily life. The outcome is a home that feels authentic and lived-in: functional yet full of personality, where thoughtful design elevates everyday moments.
