Located in the stunning natural setting of Lake Como, this holiday house offers a balanced blend of traditional Italian character and modern comfort. The design process focused on creating a space that feels both welcoming and refined, with careful attention to functionality and atmosphere.

The interior palette plays a key role in defining the space. A selection of warm neutrals, soft terracotta shades, and sun-washed tones was used to reflect the colours typical of historic Italian villas, while still maintaining a clean and contemporary aesthetic. These tones help to enhance the natural light and create a calm, cohesive environment.

The layout is designed to encourage relaxation and easy living. Open, well-connected spaces allow for both social interaction and privacy, while the furnishings and materials were chosen for their quality, comfort, and timeless appeal. Subtle textural contrasts add depth without overwhelming the simplicity of the design.

Large windows frame the surrounding landscape, establishing a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior. Whether enjoying views of the lake, cooking in the open kitchen, or gathering in the living area, the house is designed to support everyday routines as well as moments of leisure.

Every design decision—from spatial organization to finishes—was made to create a home that feels authentic, lasting, and effortlessly livable.
