Together with Manuel Pleifer, the student competition ON THE LIMIT 1:1 — BUILD was won with the design of a full-scale brick pavilion celebrating the 150th anniversary of Wienerberger and the 350th anniversary of the University of Innsbruck.

In cooperation with the City of Innsbruck, the pavilion was planned for the forecourt of the Haus der Musik — a vibrant location framed by the Landestheater and the Hofburg, with great potential as a public gathering space.

The design explores the limits of brick construction by combining traditional materials with innovative structural techniques. The pavilion serves as an extended open-air stage, enhancing acoustics and reducing traffic noise through its shape and orientation.

More than just a structure, the pavilion is designed to engage with the flow of people, drawing visitors into the heart of the square. It provides a multifunctional space for performances, relaxation, play, and everyday use — transforming an underused area into a lively urban spot.
